I have been busily working on a number of projects lately, not the least of which is a website redesign (not in terms of appearance as much as in the information being presented) for our main make money online website at GetMyWealthNow.com. But that's another story.
Anyway, as a result, I have been very focused lately on strategies related to getting back to the basics of making money online, especially those issues relating to the generation of targeted website traffic and customer conversions. Why? Because these are the topics about which new Internet marketers and webmasters most often have questions.
One of the very important elements of driving traffic to your website is one-way backlinks; the links that point to your website, but are not reciprocated by your site. The more one-way backlinks pointing to your website, the more the search engines (Google) perceives your site as a popular information source, and is therefore more likely to more highly rate it in terms of pagerank and the search engine results.
Anyway, I want to direct you to an article by Courtney Tuttle (www.CourtneyTuttle.com), a highly successful blogger and a great source for Internet marketing information and help. The article entitled, "102 Ways To Make Your Site A Back Link Superstar", was written sometime ago, but has some very good ideas for increasing the number and relevance of your website's backlinks.
Contained within Courtney's list are a variety of ways to generate backlinks, some of them better than others, some more time-consuming than others, but all worth consideration in terms of your efforts to increase the visibility of your website, and improving it's ability to attract more and better web traffic.
So, if you're at all concerned about increasing the traffic that your website receives, read the article to get some ideas that can help you to do just that.

Kimberly, thanks so much for your link to Courteny's backlink page. Wow, a lot to do! I've tackled a lot of it over the weekend and I know it will help my traffic. Another amazing resource you might check out is Michelle MacPhearson's free ebok download that deals with some of the same strategies but there are several different ones. url is: http://www.socialmediadaily.com/
Also, just an observation you may already be aware of: Your permalinks for your individual articles all point at your domain only. This makes it impossible for anyone to save your articles to social media. (I know because I've been trying ;)
You might look into that. I'd offer to help, but I'm not a blogspot expert. NOW, should you decide to go Wordpress ... CALL ME!!! I love helping set those up!!! Take care
Hi Damien-
Glad you enjoyed the post, and I'll be certain to follow up on your recommendation and check out Michelle's ebook.
Thanks also for the heads up on the permalinks. It's nice to know someone is looking out for me, but actually they point to my homepage on purpose. It's SEO and the reason you noticed it, is that I've changed many of the permalinks within the last month.
I'll have to look into the issue of social bookmarking of the articles for a possible alternative, and a big "Thank You" for attempting to share the articles.
I looked into Wordpress, and had even developed a preliminary site to switch over, but I ran into a problem with plugins and templates. In the process, I hcanged my mind and will be staying with Blogger, at least for now.
Thanks for stopping by!
Take care,
Kimberly
Damien-
As a follow-up to my last comment, if you are interested in saving an article to social media, you can use the post link that appears on the right side of the page under the "Archives" heading. That gives you the direct link to the page where the blog post is located.
Thanks again!
Kimberly
